Responsibility
- Oversee and ensure accurate preparation and timely submission of all corporate tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and withholding taxes.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring full compliance with Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular tax audits and risk assessments to identify potential issues and recommend proactive solutions.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and legal advisors to resolve complex tax matters and represent the company in tax disputes.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into financial planning and reporting.
- Prepare and present tax-related reports, analyses, and forecasts to stakeholders, supporting data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or Brevet A/B/C) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, planning, or advisory, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements, including experience with e-Faktur and e-SPT systems.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills and experience using tax software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or local tax applications).
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; ability to draft clear, professional correspondence and reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all tax-related matters.
