Responsibility
- Prepare and file accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Tax) in compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
- Calculate tax liabilities, ensure timely payments, and reconcile tax accounts to avoid penalties or discrepancies.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date tax documentation, including invoices, receipts, and financial statements for audit purposes.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Accounting, HR) to gather financial data and ensure tax compliance across all business operations.
- Assist in tax audits by liaising with external auditors or tax authorities, providing required documentation and clarifications.
- Develop and improve tax-related processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
- Provide tax advisory support to management on strategic financial decisions and potential tax implications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. Certification (e.g., Brevet A/B, CPA) is a plus.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in tax compliance, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws (e.g., PPN, PPh, PP 23/2018) and familiarity with e-Filing systems (e.g., DJP Online).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and accounting software (e.g., Zahir, Accurate, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage deadlines and documentation.
- Fluent in English and Indonesian (written and verbal) for reporting and communication.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
