As a Tax Assistant, you will work closely with experienced tax consultants on a diverse portfolio, ranging from individual tax planning to complex corporate and partnership matters. Responsibility
- Prepare and submit annual tax returns for corporate, partnership, and individual clients.
- Assist in the preparation of tax estimations and statutory filings.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax documentation and client files.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary financial data and documentation.
- Support the team in handling inquiries from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN).
- Monitor and track tax deadlines to ensure 100% compliance.
- Conduct basic tax research to stay updated with the latest changes in Malaysian tax laws.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience in a tax firm or accounting department.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian tax legislation and compliance procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and tax computation software.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
