Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable IT infrastructure solutions for US-based clients, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Participate in a structured on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems, with guaranteed weekends off.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Automate repetitive tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and align IT solutions with business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and contribute to team knowledge through documentation and training.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and security best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer, IT Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role in an MSP or enterprise environment.
- Strong expertise in Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and hybrid infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible) to streamline system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG) and IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) to liaise with global teams and clients.
