Responsibility
- Assist the sushi chef in preparing and assembling sushi rolls, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for use.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support the team in setting up and breaking down the sushi bar station.
- Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with guests and addressing their inquiries.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or sushi bar is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent hygiene and food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
