Responsibility
- Assist surgeons and medical staff during orthopedic procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before and after operations.
- Provide technical support in the operating room, including positioning patients and handling surgical tools.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies, reporting shortages or defects promptly.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
- Document procedural details and patient information accurately for medical records.
- Assist in post-operative care, including wound dressing and patient transfer.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a sterile surgical environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Surgical Technology, Nursing, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Assistant or in an orthopedic setting.
