Responsibility
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy plans for children with special needs, focusing on motor skills, mobility, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, educators, and parents to create holistic, child-centered treatment strategies.
- Utilize play-based therapy techniques, including animal-assisted interventions (therapy cats), to engage children and achieve therapeutic goals.
- Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate parents and caregivers on home-based exercises and strategies to support their childâs development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating therapy environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development to stay updated on best practices in pediatric physiotherapy.
- Assist in organizing community outreach programs to raise awareness about special needs therapy.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Physiotherapy or a related field; certification or licensure to practice in Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain).
- 1-2 years of experience in pediatric physiotherapy, special needs care, or a similar setting (fresh graduates with strong passion are encouraged to apply).
- Knowledge of developmental milestones, sensory integration, and motor skill disorders in children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability to tailor therapy sessions to each childâs unique needs and abilities.
- Familiarity with animal-assisted therapy is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous.
