Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain clinical and pharmacy informatics systems to support healthcare operations and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality of informatics solutions.
- Analyze and optimize electronic health records (EHR), pharmacy management systems, and clinical decision support tools.
- Provide training and support to end-users, including clinicians, pharmacists, and administrative staff, on informatics tools and best practices.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement upgrades or enhancements to meet evolving healthcare needs.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to deploy new informatics initiatives, such as telemedicine platforms or AI-driven diagnostics.
- Generate reports and insights from healthcare data to support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in clinical or pharmacy informatics, healthcare IT, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner), pharmacy management software, and clinical databases.
- Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, terminology, and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, FHIR).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience with data analysis, SQL, or business intelligence tools is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) are a plus.
