Responsibility
- Develop and implement supplier quality management systems to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to evaluate performance, identify risks, and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to select and qualify new suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier-related quality issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Monitor and analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and implement proactive quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and guidance to suppliers on quality requirements, best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Participate in new product development projects to ensure supplier capabilities align with product specifications and quality expectations.
- Maintain documentation and reports related to supplier quality performance for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supplier quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role within manufacturing or electronics industries.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and quality tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma).
- Experience conducting supplier audits and managing corrective action processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-based decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) is a plus.
