Responsibility
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance on heavy agricultural machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and loaders.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and minimize equipment downtime.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards while working with heavy machinery.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior mechanics or operators when needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in agricultural machinery technology and repair techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Heavy Machinery Mechanic, preferably in agricultural or industrial settings.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in heavy equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repairs in various work conditions.
- Certification in heavy equipment repair or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
