Responsibility
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and components.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and performance evaluations to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to resolve supplier-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives by negotiating contracts, optimizing supply chain processes, and identifying alternative sourcing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across all supplier activities.
- Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance supplier quality, reliability, and sustainability.
- Analyze supplier data and market trends to make informed recommendations for strategic sourcing decisions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers to improve their manufacturing processes and product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supplier management, procurement, or quality engineering within a manufacturing or technology-driven industry.
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality assurance methodologies, including ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
- Proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, supplier management software, and data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to travel occasionally to supplier sites and company locations as needed.
