As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in store operations, team management, inventory control, and customer excellence. You will be mentored by seasoned professionals who will guide you in mastering the retail business cycle. Responsibility

  • Shadow store supervisors to learn day-to-day retail operations and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist in managing store inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandise display standards.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, resolving inquiries and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
  • Support the store team in achieving daily and monthly sales targets through proactive engagement.
  • Monitor and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards within the retail premises.
  • Assist in cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems management, and daily sales reporting.
  • Participate in staff scheduling and basic team coordination tasks under the guidance of the Store Manager.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or any relevant field.
  • Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply; prior retail experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • High level of integrity, punctuality, and a positive, 'can-do' professional attitude.
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as per retail requirements.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office) for reporting purposes.
  • Passionate about learning the retail business and growing into a leadership role within MR.DIY.
