Responsibility
- Design and analyze structural steel components, connections, and systems using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD.Pro, or Tekla).
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for steel structures, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to integrate steel designs into overall project plans while optimizing for cost and efficiency.
- Conduct site inspections and structural assessments to verify the implementation of designs and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Perform load calculations, stress analysis, and material selection to ensure structural stability and durability in tropical climates.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Stay updated with advancements in steel engineering, sustainable materials, and seismic design practices relevant to the region.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural steel design and engineering, preferably in commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, or similar) and CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of international building codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, or local Indonesian standards).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with multicultural teams.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or tropical climates is a plus.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
