Responsibility
- Design and analyze structural systems for data centers, including foundations, frames, and load-bearing components, ensuring compliance with international standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocode).
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural requirements into project designs.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations to assess structural performance under static and dynamic loads.
- Develop and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS).
- Conduct site inspections and provide on-site support to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
- Optimize structural designs for cost efficiency, sustainability, and scalability in high-density data center environments.
- Prepare and present technical reports, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to stakeholders.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and emerging technologies in structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on commercial, industrial, or data center projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, ETABS) and CAD/BIM tools.
- Strong knowledge of concrete, steel, and composite structural systems, as well as seismic and wind load calculations.
- Experience with international building codes (e.g., IBC, Eurocode) and data center-specific standards (e.g., Uptime Institute).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and travel to project sites as needed.
