In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bringing complex construction projects to life, ensuring that every design meets both aesthetic standards and rigorous safety codes.
You will work closely with lead engineers, architects, and external consultants to transform design concepts into detailed structural shop drawings. Responsibility
- Prepare accurate, high-quality structural shop drawings for diverse construction projects.
- Coordinate seamlessly with consultants and project managers to ensure design alignment.
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback from site engineers and design reviews.
- Ensure all technical documentation adheres to local building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
- Manage document control processes, ensuring all revisions are tracked and archived correctly.
- Assist in the review of architectural and MEP drawings to identify and resolve potential clashes.
- Participate in site visits as required to verify measurements and ensure construction compliance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in structural drafting or detailing within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit or BIM software is a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of structural components, detailing standards, and building codes.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex engineering plans.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
