Responsibility
- Assist senior pipe fitters in measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipes according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Operate hand and power tools to fabricate and install piping systems for water, steam, or gas.
- Inspect and test installed systems to identify leaks, defects, or compliance issues.
- Adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate protective equipment at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper storage of tools and materials.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing piping systems as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in pipe fitting or related field is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces.
