Responsibility
- Develop and review structural designs for bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure projects.
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate structural solutions into project designs.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess structural conditions and provide technical recommendations.
- Ensure all designs adhere to local building codes, environmental regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and draftsmen.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in structural engineering and incorporate innovative techniques into projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design, with a focus on bridges and buildings.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro.
- Strong knowledge of local and international building codes and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design and analysis.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and materials is a plus.
