Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to optimize cost savings and ensure favorable conditions.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and assess potential risks.
- Monitor supplier performance, including delivery times, quality standards, and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, finance, logistics) to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
- Manage inventory levels and lead times to prevent shortages or excess stock while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze procurement reports, including spend analysis, cost comparisons, and supplier performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- Proven track record of successful supplier negotiations and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of inventory management, demand forecasting, and contract law.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SEA (Southeast Asia) supplier markets is a plus.
