Responsibility
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to secure high-quality materials and components at optimal costs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable agreements for the company.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities to enhance procurement efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, logistics, finance) to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Manage inventory levels and lead times to prevent shortages or excess stock while maintaining production schedules.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and ethical standards.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions proactively and implement contingency plans to minimize operational impact.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, agreements, and expenditures for reporting and auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Proven track record in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making and procurement software/tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and just-in-time (JIT) inventory systems is a plus.
