Responsibility
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain organized and secure storage of all supplies, adhering to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Issue supplies to departments as requested, while monitoring usage patterns to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Implement and maintain hygiene and safety standards in all storage areas, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with procurement and department heads to forecast supply needs and place orders accordingly.
- Manage the disposal of expired or damaged goods in accordance with company policies and environmental guidelines.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and generate reports for management review.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or a related role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to maintain accurate records and identify trends.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 20-25 kg) and work in varying temperatures.
- Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
