Responsibility
- Clean, wash, and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, and equipment to meet Shangri-La’s hygiene and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing machines and ensure proper chemical usage for sanitation.
- Sort and stack cleaned items in designated storage areas, ensuring organization and accessibility for kitchen staff.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, storage areas, and dishwashing stations.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including uniform and grooming standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role within hospitality, restaurants, or hotels is preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Familiarity with industrial dishwashing equipment is a plus.
