Responsibility
- Develop detailed steel structure drawings and 3D models using Tekla Structures for infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
- Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings with precise dimensions and specifications.
- Review and validate structural designs for compliance with industry standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocodes).
- Optimize steel structures for cost-effectiveness, constructability, and material efficiency.
- Coordinate with BIM (Building Information Modeling) teams to integrate structural models into broader project workflows.
- Maintain version control and documentation for all drawings and revisions.
- Provide technical support during fabrication and construction phases to resolve design-related queries.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Steel Drafter, with a focus on Tekla Structures.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, and Revit (advance level preferred).
- Strong understanding of steel design principles, connection details, and fabrication processes.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., bridges, high-rise buildings, industrial plants).
- Familiarity with international design codes (AISC, BS, Eurocodes) and local regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
