Responsibility
- Monitor and enforce adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and food preparation processes to ensure optimal cleanliness and functionality.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper procedures, including food handling, waste management, and personal hygiene.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Collaborate with the head chef and management to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize food waste.
- Document and report any deviations from standards, proposing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead by example in maintaining a positive, professional, and safety-first kitchen environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to continuously improve operational standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or food service establishment.
- Proven knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, or other food safety management systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively train and manage a diverse team.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); proficiency in Indonesian is a plus.
- Certification in food safety or hygiene (e.g., ServSafe) is highly desirable.
