Responsibility
- Prepare and bake a variety of Italian breads, pastries, and desserts according to traditional and modern recipes.
- Ensure all baked goods meet high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and assist in ordering as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and seasonal specialties.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets.
- Portion and package baked goods for service, ensuring consistency and freshness.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff in baking techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Baker, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of Italian baking techniques and recipes (e.g., sourdough, focaccia, tiramisu).
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex recipes with precision.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet daily production deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy ingredients (up to 25 kg).
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with flavors and presentations.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (HACCP is a plus).
- Team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
