As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable testing frameworks that empower our engineering teams to deliver high-quality software at speed. Responsibility
- Architect and develop advanced test automation frameworks to improve code quality and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Lead the optimization of CI/CD pipelines to accelerate build, test, and deployment cycles.
- Mentor and collaborate with engineering teams to adopt best practices in testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Design and implement developer tooling to enhance productivity, such as custom CLI tools, IDE plugins, or monitoring dashboards.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the testing infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Advocate for test-driven development (TDD) and shift-left testing methodologies across the organization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in DevOps, observability, and software quality, and drive their adoption.
- Document and evangelize engineering standards, processes, and tools to foster a culture of excellence.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on test automation, QA, or DevOps.
- Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Deep knowledge of testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Selenium, Cypress, JUnit) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
- Proven track record of designing scalable, maintainable test infrastructures for large-scale applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence technical direction and mentor peers.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
