Responsibility
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Assist ophthalmologists during surgical procedures, including cataract, LASIK, and retinal surgeries.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and their families on eye health, post-operative care, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic equipment, ensuring it is sterilized and functioning correctly.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide emergency care and first aid as needed, particularly in cases of eye trauma or sudden vision changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification; specialization in ophthalmic nursing is a plus.
- Valid nursing license and registration with the Indonesian Nursing Council.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing, with preference given to those with ophthalmology experience.
- Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in administering medications and managing patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and reassure patients.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are a bonus.
