Responsibility
- Assist cardiologists and technicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures (e.g., angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, ECG readings, and hemodynamic data during procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, equipment, and supplies in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Administer medications, contrast agents, and emergency interventions as directed by the physician.
- Provide pre- and post-procedural patient education and emotional support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary Cath Lab team to ensure seamless workflow and patient safety.
- Document all procedures, patient responses, and care provided in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergencies (e.g., cardiac arrests, complications) with rapid, evidence-based interventions.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (preferably with critical care or cardiac nursing certification).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in cardiac care, ICU, or Cath Lab settings.
- Proficiency in ECG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency resuscitation (ACLS certification preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, pathophysiology, and interventional procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with physicians, technicians, and support staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining precision and composure.
- Familiarity with medical equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, defibrillators, IV pumps) and sterilization protocols.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and adherence to ethical and safety standards.
