Responsibility
- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs, adhering to established protocols and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to interpret imaging results and provide accurate, timely reports.
- Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the public.
- Maintain meticulous patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Train and mentor junior technologists and support staff to uphold best practices in radiologic technology.
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and recommend process improvements.
- Provide compassionate patient care, addressing concerns and ensuring a comfortable experience during procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field; valid professional license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in operating advanced imaging equipment (e.g., CT, MRI, digital X-ray).
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and electronic health records (EHR).
