Responsibility
- Design and develop high-speed digital circuits for next-generation PXI modular instruments, ensuring optimal performance and signal integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware architecture and system requirements for mixed-signal applications.
- Implement and verify FPGA-based designs using VHDL/Verilog, focusing on low-latency and high-throughput solutions.
- Conduct signal integrity analysis and PCB layout reviews to minimize noise and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and execute hardware validation plans, including functional testing, environmental stress testing, and compliance verification.
- Optimize power consumption and thermal management for high-performance digital systems.
- Document design specifications, test procedures, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in digital hardware, FPGA, and mixed-signal design to drive continuous innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in digital hardware design, with a focus on high-speed and mixed-signal systems.
- Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog and FPGA development tools (Xilinx, Intel/Altera).
- Hands-on experience with PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics) and signal integrity analysis.
- Strong understanding of digital communication protocols (PCIe, DDR, LVDS, SerDes).
- Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller interfacing (ARM, AVR, or similar).
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) for hardware debugging.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
