Responsibility
- Create detailed technical drawings and blueprints for furniture designs using CAD software.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure accurate and feasible product specifications.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and production teams.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and finalized designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
- Assist in prototyping and testing phases to validate design functionality and durability.
- Provide technical support to production teams to resolve drafting-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in furniture design and drafting.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical drafting, preferably in the furniture or woodworking industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material properties.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex design specifications.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices is a plus.
