Responsibility
- Design and lead age-appropriate sports programs (e.g., soccer, basketball, swimming, yoga, or martial arts) that align with students’ skill levels and interests.
- Develop structured lesson plans that incorporate skill development, teamwork, and fun, ensuring progressive learning.
- Monitor and assess students’ physical progress and safety during all activities, adhering to best practices in sports instruction.
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and club staff to communicate progress, address concerns, and organize events (e.g., tournaments, demonstrations).
- Maintain and inspect sports equipment and facilities to ensure they are safe, clean, and ready for use.
- Adapt activities for diverse groups, including beginners, advanced students, and those with special needs.
- Promote health and wellness education by integrating lessons on nutrition, injury prevention, and active lifestyles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field (certifications in specific sports are a plus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues in English (Bahasa Indonesia is beneficial).
- Passion for working with children/teens and the ability to motivate and inspire through positive reinforcement.
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) to ensure student safety during activities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with varying schedules, group sizes, and skill levels.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate coaching techniques.
- Organizational skills to plan sessions, track progress, and manage resources effectively.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning and staying updated on sports training methodologies.
