As a Speech Language Therapist (SLT), you will assess, diagnose, and treat patients across various age groups, from children to adults, in diverse settings such as hospitals, clinics, schools, or private practices. Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs, goals, and abilities.
- Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to improve articulation, fluency, voice, and language skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, psychologists, and educators, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support communication and swallowing at home.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, progress notes, and treatment reports in compliance with professional standards.
- Stay current with the latest research, techniques, and technologies in speech-language pathology.
- Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about speech and language disorders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid license or certification to practice as a Speech Therapist (e.g., ASHA certification, or equivalent international credentials).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist, with preference for those with experience in pediatric, geriatric, or neurological cases.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in speech therapy, including assessment tools and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced, diverse environments.
- Fluency in English; additional proficiency in Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
