The University of San Agustin is seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech Laboratory Supervisor to oversee and enhance our state-of-the-art speech and language research facilities. Responsibility
- Oversee daily operations of the speech laboratory, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with faculty and researchers to support experimental setups, data collection, and analysis for speech and language studies.
- Develop and implement laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
- Train and supervise laboratory staff, students, and interns on the proper use of speech analysis software and hardware.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, ensuring availability of necessary materials for research and teaching activities.
- Collaborate with IT and technical teams to upgrade and maintain laboratory technology, including audio recording and analysis systems.
- Assist in the preparation of research proposals, grant applications, and academic publications related to speech science.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and demonstrations to promote the use of the speech laboratory among students and faculty.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology, Audiology, Linguistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a speech laboratory, clinical, or research setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of speech analysis software (e.g., Praat, Audacity, MATLAB) and audio equipment.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to train and supervise staff and students in a laboratory environment.
- Familiarity with research methodologies in speech and language sciences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is a plus.
