Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and implement advanced Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) models to solve complex optimization problems in logistics, supply chain, energy, and finance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate real-world challenges into mathematical formulations and develop scalable solutions.
  • Conduct rigorous computational experiments to validate and refine optimization algorithms, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact academic journals and conferences, contributing to the advancement of the field.
  • Mentor junior researchers and graduate students, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
  • Engage with industry partners to identify research opportunities and apply MIP techniques to practical, real-world applications.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in optimization theory, computational methods, and related technologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Present research progress and findings to internal and external stakeholders, including academic peers and industry leaders.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, with a focus on optimization or computational methods.
  • Proven expertise in Mixed Integer Programming (MIP), linear programming, and combinatorial optimization, with hands-on experience in modeling and solving large-scale problems.
  • Proficiency in optimization software and programming languages such as Python (Pyomo, PuLP, Gurobi, CPLEX), C++, or Julia.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals or conferences, demonstrating impactful research in optimization or related fields.
  • Experience with heuristics, metaheuristics, or exact algorithms for solving NP-hard problems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to decompose complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work remotely and manage time effectively in a flexible work environment.
