Responsibility
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing pain management treatments, including interventional procedures and medication therapies.
- Administer intravenous, oral, and topical medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, pain levels, and responses to treatments, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Assist physicians during procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, and other interventional pain therapies.
- Educate patients and families on pain management techniques, post-procedure care, and lifestyle modifications to improve long-term outcomes.
- Maintain sterile environments and strict infection control protocols in clinical and procedural settings.
- Collaborate with anaesthesiologists, physiotherapists, and other specialists to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines in all nursing practices.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with valid certification in Indonesia (or eligibility for local registration).
- Minimum 3+ years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1-2 years in pain management, anaesthesia, or critical care preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pain assessment tools, pharmacological interventions, and non-pharmacological therapies.
- Experience in administering IV medications, managing infusion pumps, and assisting in minor procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical documentation systems.
- Commitment to continuing education and staying updated on advancements in pain management.
