Responsibility
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student needs and learning objectives.
- Design engaging, adaptive lesson plans using evidence-based pedagogical strategies.
- Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and parents, to support student development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Utilize assistive technologies and specialized teaching aids to enhance student engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Valid teaching certification or licensure in special education.
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including autism, ADHD, or developmental delays.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies and behavioral interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and adaptive learning tools.
- Ability to thrive in a culturally diverse and dynamic educational setting.
