Responsibility
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction to support students with learning disabilities, autism, or other special needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists to monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes student confidence and independence.
- Utilize specialized teaching techniques and assistive technologies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assess student progress through observations, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Maintain detailed records of student development and communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferred).
- Strong understanding of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and behavioral challenges.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student requirements.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies and specialized educational tools.
- Certification in special education or related training is a plus.
