Responsibility

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP standards.
  • Develop and refine menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating seasonal and local ingredients.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs to management.
  • Assist in training new staff and conducting performance evaluations to uphold kitchen standards.
  • Step in for the Head Chef in their absence, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or sous chef role.
  • Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian and international cuisines, with a focus on high-quality dining.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for developing innovative and delicious dishes.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
