Responsibility
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, with a focus on Mandarin-speaking markets.
- Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors.
- Conduct market research to track industry trends, material costs, and supplier capabilities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and services.
- Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, quality concerns, or payment discrepancies.
- Assist in developing cost-saving strategies and process improvements for sourcing activities.
- Translate and interpret procurement-related documents between English and Mandarin.
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in English is required.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, or supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with procurement software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Prior internship or work experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related field is advantageous.
