Responsibility
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in China and other key markets to support production needs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to delivery timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality assurance teams to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and emerging suppliers.
- Manage purchase orders, shipments, and inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Resolve supplier-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions in the supply chain.
- Prepare and present sourcing reports with key metrics, cost savings, and risk assessments to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management, preferably in the medical devices, manufacturing, or healthcare industry.
- Proven track record of negotiating with international suppliers, particularly in China.
- Strong understanding of incoterms, import/export regulations, and customs procedures.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and procurement software.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin (Chinese) is a strong plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
