Responsibility
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and compliance with IKA’s standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements for IKA.
- Monitor supplier performance metrics (e.g., lead times, defect rates, on-time delivery) and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
- Assess supplier capabilities through audits, site visits, and quality assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Support sustainability initiatives by sourcing eco-friendly materials and working with suppliers committed to ethical practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management, preferably in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Proven track record in vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven sourcing decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, supply chain software, and procurement tools.
- Knowledge of quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma) and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
