We are currently seeking a highly motivated and independent Solar & EV Systems Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) to join our expanding team in Negeri Sembilan. In this role, you will be at the forefront of the renewable energy sector, taking ownership of cutting-edge solar and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure projects.
As a key member of our engineering division, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design, analysis, and optimization of electrical and mechanical systems. This role demands a proactive professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses strong error-detection capabilities, and can work autonomously to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Responsibility
- Design and engineer comprehensive solar PV (Photovoltaic) systems and EV charging stations, ensuring optimal electrical and mechanical integration.
- Perform detailed system calculations, load assessments, and performance simulations to optimize energy output.
- Review engineering designs, schematics, and single-line diagrams (SLDs) to identify potential technical errors or inefficiencies.
- Conduct systematic testing and troubleshooting during the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases of projects.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement teams, and site contractors to ensure engineering designs are executed accurately.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with local grid connection standards, utility guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in solar technology, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV charging protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in solar PV system design or EV charging infrastructure design.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent design tools.
- Strong analytical mindset with a proven track record in system calculation and technical error detection.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is highly advantageous.
