Responsibility
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Investigate safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Develop, review, and update Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures in alignment with local legislation and global standards.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills for employees and contractors.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date EHS documentation, including incident reports, training records, and permit applications.
- Liaise with external government bodies, regulatory authorities (such as MOM and NEA), and auditors on all safety and environmental matters.
- Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization through engaging communication campaigns and safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience as an EHS Officer, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or engineering sectors.
- Deep understanding of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and relevant environmental regulations.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) qualification is highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to incident investigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
