Responsibility
- Lead QA Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive QA methodologies, frameworks, and test plans aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Test Planning & Execution: Oversee the design, development, and execution of manual and automated test cases for software applications, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla, and collaborate with developers to prioritize and resolve issues efficiently.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance QA processes, tools, and metrics to increase efficiency, reduce risks, and improve product quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, developers, and business teams to align QA activities with project timelines and deliverables.
- Pre-Launch & Post-Launch Support: Conduct pre-release validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-deployment monitoring to ensure seamless product rollouts.
- Reporting & Metrics: Generate and present QA reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management, highlighting risks, trends, and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software QA, with at least 2 years in a managerial or lead role, preferably in a fast-paced tech environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall), test automation tools (Selenium, Appium, Postman), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Analytical Mindset: Keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential risks.
- Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr), defect tracking systems, and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ICT sector standards, compliance requirements, and emerging trends in software quality assurance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, remote, or hybrid work environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
