Responsibility
- Operate and monitor SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, solder paste printers, reflow ovens) to ensure optimal performance and output.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and cleaning of SMT equipment to prevent downtime and extend machinery lifespan.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SMT processes, including feeder jams, misalignments, and soldering defects.
- Inspect and verify the quality of PCB assemblies using visual checks, AOI (Automated Optical Inspection), and other testing tools.
- Adjust machine parameters (e.g., speed, temperature, pressure) to meet production specifications and quality standards.
- Document maintenance activities, production metrics, and any deviations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and reduce waste.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
Qualifications
- Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an SMT Technician or in a similar role within electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with SMT equipment (e.g., Panasonic, Juki, Yamaha, or similar brands).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Familiarity with PCB assembly processes, soldering techniques, and quality control standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Proficiency in using hand tools, multimeters, and inspection equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
