Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and sustain SMT processes for high-volume PCBA assembly, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
- Conduct process characterization, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis to improve yield and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve SMT-related issues, including soldering defects, component placement accuracy, and reflow profiling.
- Implement and maintain process control plans, work instructions, and documentation in compliance with ISO and IPC standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new SMT equipment, materials, and technologies to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
- Train and mentor production technicians and engineers on SMT best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to streamline workflows and reduce cycle time.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Accton Technology remains at the forefront of SMT innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT process engineering, preferably in high-mix or high-volume electronics manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SMT equipment (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, AOI systems) and process optimization tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Strong knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001) and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) principles.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis (RCA), and failure mode analysis (FMEA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to drive process improvements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia (relocation assistance provided for qualified candidates).
