As an SMT Equipment Engineer, you will play a critical role in equipment management, troubleshooting, and optimization to support high-volume manufacturing processes. Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment, including pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Optimize SMT machine performance through calibration, software updates, and process adjustments.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot process-related issues and implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues and propose long-term fixes.
- Train and mentor technicians on SMT equipment operation, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and generate reports for continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SMT equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in SMT machinery (e.g., Yamaha, Panasonic, Juki, or ASM pick-and-place systems).
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, soldering techniques, and AOI systems.
- Familiarity with PLC programming, HMIs, and industrial automation is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications in SMT equipment or Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing are advantageous.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus.
