Responsibility
- Perform routine inspection, calibration, and maintenance of SMT and AOI equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize defects in production lines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SMT and AOI systems, including hardware, software, and mechanical components.
- Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to align processes with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment or process failures and propose corrective actions.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield rates, defect rates, and equipment uptime, and report findings to management.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in SMT and AOI technologies and recommend upgrades or new tools to improve productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in SMT, AOI, or semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with AOI machines (e.g., Koh Young, Omron, Mirtec) and SMT equipment (e.g., pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens).
- Strong knowledge of process control, statistical process control (SPC), and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC, vision systems, and automation software used in manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to process optimization.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, or other relevant quality standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
