Responsibility
- Program, configure, and optimize SMT machines (e.g., pick-and-place, solder paste printers, reflow ovens) for maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on SMT equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues, minimizing production downtime and improving yield rates.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance SMT line performance, speed, and quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot defects and refine programming parameters.
- Document equipment performance, maintenance logs, and process adjustments for compliance and audits.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on SMT equipment operation and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging SMT technologies and industry trends to recommend upgrades or replacements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience as an SMT Equipment Engineer or Programmer in electronics manufacturing.
- Proficiency in programming and operating SMT machines (e.g., Fuji, Panasonic, Juki, or similar brands).
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly processes, soldering techniques, and quality control standards (IPC-A-610).
- Experience with troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems in SMT equipment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-precision environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production setting and adapt to shifting priorities.
