Responsibility
- Operate welding machines (MIG, TIG, Arc) to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and calibrate welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and adhering to workplace safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality benchmarks.
- Perform routine maintenance on welding tools and report any malfunctions or hazards.
- Document work progress, including measurements, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder or Welding Operator in manufacturing or fabrication.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks.
- Commitment to safety, with knowledge of OSHA and industry-specific safety standards.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
